DnD Gift Ideas for Players

The safe answer to “what do you get a D&D player” is a handmade dice bag tied to their character or table role: a fabric organizer bag ($32–$47), a matching dice bag & tray set ($59.70), or a custom-printed bag made from their own character art (from $39). Bestsellers reach US addresses in 1–3 business days from our Miami warehouse; made-to-order pieces take 9–17 business days from our Cherkasy studio.

Not sure what to pick? Our guide to D&D gifts for players and DMs lists 25 ideas by budget, including the ones we don't make.

26.9% of our customers buy as gifts, and Christmas is the most common gift occasion mentioned in our reviews, followed by birthdays. The pattern is always the same: a partner, parent, friend, or coworker shopping for someone who plays D&D and dreading another generic geek-store gift. Handmade lands because it can’t be mass-produced.

Quick picks by recipient and budget

What do you get a D&D player who already has everything?

Something that cannot exist twice. A custom-printed dice bag (from $39, matching tray $32) is sewn from gabardine printed with their character art, party crest, or homebrew map — no marketplace version of it exists. The second answer is an embroidered velvet bag ($52) with their campaign name or a private table joke: they may own ten dice bags, but not one with their own story on it.

What is a good D&D gift under $50?

Almost everything on this page. Under $25: a foldable dice tray (from $21.70). Around $32–$41: fabric organizer bags that hold 300+ dice, with or without pockets. At $44–$52: plush creature bags (Goblin $46, Fish $44) and embroidered velvet ($52). At $59.70, a full bag & tray set is a complete “table setup” gift for a Dungeon Master. For a group gift, mix designs per character: Galaxy for the wizard, Mothman for the cryptid cleric, Goblin for the rogue, Druid for the ranger.

Which D&D player are you buying for?

GameFancy gift buyers rarely describe the person only as “my boyfriend” or “my friend”. They say what that person loves: “my opossum loving friend”, “a DM who loves cats and space”, “my partner who loves cryptids, and has more dice than he knows what to do with”. Of 227 GameFancy reviews that mention a gift, 61 name a friend, 40 a partner, 19 a sibling or parent and 14 a child or teen. These are the players our customers buy for, most common first.

1. The friend who plays every week. The most common gift recipient in our reviews. Pick the bag by their favorite creature or character, and a 6-pocket fabric bag ($41) holds their whole collection, 6–7 full dice sets in each pocket. Dice bags with pockets.

2. The partner at your table. Second most common. Something with their name or their character on it: an embroidered velvet bag or a plush Mothman or Goblin. “Such a great gift! My boyfriend was so happy!” Gifts for your D&D partner.

3. The sister, brother, mom or dad who plays. Family gifts are often birthdays, so speed matters: plush bestsellers ship from Miami in 1–3 business days. “Got it for my sister in law and she absolutely loved it.” D&D birthday gifts under $50.

4. The one who is obsessed with one animal. Possums, cats, frogs, ravens, goblins: if they have a creature, give them a bag with that creature. “A perfect gift for my opossum loving friend.” Plush creature dice bags · Cute and aesthetic dice bags.

5. The daughter, son or teen who just got into D&D. Cute, soft and under $40 works best. “This is a Christmas gift for my d n d playing daughter who loves possums!” Cute and aesthetic dice bags.

6. The dice goblin with a growing hoard. They need room, not another pouch. A 300+ dice bag with 6 pockets holds about 40 standard sets. “I am a goblin for dice.” Goblin dice bags · Dice bags with pockets.

7. The cryptid fan or the goth friend. Mothman is our most mentioned design in reviews. “Got this for my friend who loves mothman and dnd. They love it.” Mothman and cryptid gifts · Dark academia dice bags.

8. The whole party, or a secret santa. One design per character, so nobody gets the same bag. “Super cute and I can’t wait to gift it to my DND group.” For 5+ bags, message us about a quantity discount.

9. The Dungeon Master. A thank-you at the end of a campaign or a holiday gift. DMs need capacity and sorting for monster and NPC dice. “Holiday gift for my DM, and he loves it!” Dice bags for Dungeon Masters · Mimic dice bags.

10. The player who lives their character class. Match the bag to the character: mushrooms and leaves for a druid, witchy prints for a warlock, dragons for a sorcerer, books and scrolls for a wizard. Cottagecore · Witchy · Dragon · Dark academia.

11. The brand-new player. Their first real dice bag after a ziploc. A fabric bag with no pockets ($32) or 6 pockets ($41) is enough for years of weekly play.

Not sure which one fits? A custom printed dice bag with their own character art works for every type on this list.

Why handmade lands as a gift

It is specific to the person — there is no factory version of their character. It gets used at the table every week, so the gift is seen, not shelved. And every bag is sewn by Mariia in our Cherkasy, Ukraine studio — by hands, not an algorithm. The common thread among people who shop this collection: they refuse to give another mass-produced t-shirt or mug to someone who deserves better.
