It folds flat on snap-button corners, measures 5.5 × 5.5 in and costs $21.70.

Gift idea. “Dice goblin” is what players call themselves when the dice collection outgrows reason. This is the tray for them: a small, useful gift under $25 that fits the joke. Most players already own a bag and still roll on the bare table, so a tray is the gift they rarely buy for themselves.

What you get

Rolling area: about 5.5 × 5.5 in, with 1.2 in sides

Fabric: gabardine with the black and gold goblin hoard print, a soft synthetic that holds its shape and does not fade

Base: two parts, the fabric tray and a removable hard insert covered in the same print

Corners: snap buttons. They are lovely and they are heavier, pricier, and wood does not fold. Magnetic folding trays close with magnets; ours closes with snap buttons at the corners, and our tray reviews have almost no complaints about the snaps.
